A new form of contemporary marionette drama!!

A dream-like story that takes place at an old theater about to be dismantled – Time Theater.

The old and derelict Time Theater which is awaiting its final days and the carpenter, Gomachi, who has spent his entire time at the Time Theater. The last day at the theater is recounted by Gomachi like an old story. A final confrontation between those who wish to get rid of anything old and dated and Gomachi who believes in the magical power of old and dated things. On the very night, a mysterious person pays a visit to Gomachi. Can the Time Theater remain safe until the dawn of the next day? Can Gomachi realize his dream of saving the theater?

Puppet Music Theater– Time Theater taking part at SPAF 2009 is the second in the series of marionette plays beginning with "The Pilgrim's Progress" which was premiered at the School of Drama of the Korea National University of Arts in 2006. The automata puppet drama is going to lay the ground as a top-quality puppet drama by employing new stage formats, ingenuous use of puppets, and offering dramatic and widely-appealing themes.

In particular, the use of multi-layered stage seen in Puppet Music Theater – Time Theater has been the result of long-term study on "visual that overwhelms narrative".  Using separation and overlapping of two spaces of the puppets and the actual stage allows the delivery of the original story set on reality with more optical and dramatic effect. Besides, this scheme of a new performance style adds to diversity and enjoyment.
