Crazy Swan Lake is a fusion of classical music, contemporary dance and drama that illustrates the theme that humans are the main cause of environmental destruction today.
The façade of environmental destruction is hidden behind the mask of the dancing swan expressed through the bodies of humans.
In the prologue, classical music is played while a funny looking 'I' as a swan drags a goose behind it. As the elegant 'I' starts a noble dance, it begins a criticism of society as a means of communication with the goose. The 'I' may be seen as the swan or the goose. At the same time, questions are being thrown to the audience.
In Act 1, the swan is physically struggling toward itself or us. A long robe is thrown away to reveal its struggle toward freedom. In Act 2, warnings of the polluted environment fall from bags in bundles. The same 'I' is sending a warning message to the audience. In Act 3, as if to illustrate the wasteland that our environment is becoming, by-products of environmental damage fall from the sky. In the epilogue, the piece ends with a strong message from the swan as if it is trying to overcome its inner distress. "It is not too late..."
